Are you looking for a led lighting lamp? The ArtJL collection offers several designer lamps equipped with LED technology. These low-consumption bulbs offer different lighting (hot or cold light), without heat release.Jérôme Peyronnet, craftsman, designs these lights from old electric radiators from the 30s to the 70s. All are unique pieces. Upcycling made in France.
LED lighting lamp: what are the advantages?
Longevity
The lifespan of LED bulbs is longer than that of other technologies (incandescent, compact fluorescent halogen, etc.).
Energetic efficiency
All the energy used is transformed into light and not very little into heat.
Instant lighting
As soon as it is switched on, an LED lighting lamp gives its maximum level of brightness.
On an ampoule package, you can find these indications:
the words “warm”, “warm white” or “warm light” for warm color (yellow light), “cool white” for cold color (blue light).
Ecological
The LED bulb does not contain mercury, and is largely recyclable as non-hazardous waste. LED lighting is the most used for your indoor lamps.
An LED lighting lamp consumes 10 times less electricity than an incandescent, 6 to 8 times less than a halogen.
Lumens (Lm) express the amount of light produced by the bulb. The more lumens, the more it will give a cool white light.
What is the difference between a classic LED lighting bulb and an Edison LED bulb?
The Edison LED bulb, also known as the filament retrofit LED, consumes even less than conventional LEDs.
It is the aesthetic rendering and the desired brightness that guide the choice.
Light intensity: which lighting to choose with your designer lamp?
For an office, for maximum illumination, we recommend that you use natural, white light of around 3,300 to 5,000 Kelvins.
For a living room or a bedroom, to create a cocooning atmosphere, opt for “warm white” lighting, for a soft light tending towards yellow (from 1000 to 5000 Kelvins).
In the ArtJL Shop , the majority of the luminaires are equipped with LED bulbs, low consumption (from 2 to 20 Watts). Several of them have an Edison LED bulb.
How does Jérôme Peyronnet make designer lamps?
« I work with old radiators that I buy. They are now obsolete, forgotten in the attics of our grandparents. My goal is to give them a second life. This is the basis of upcycling. This current refers to the action of recovering objects that we no longer have use in order to bring them to life differently. With upcycling, I turn these old radiators into beautiful, high-end designer lamps. All are unique pieces, numbered and signed.
Every time I find a new piece, there’s that same excitement, that same emulation. How to transform it? What color to assign to it? How to integrate a lighting system? In my studio in Montpellier, I spend a lot of time cleaning them, taking them apart, sanding them and painting them several times. I am a perfectionist. All details matter, especially those that cannot be seen.»

- How do you want to direct your light sources?
Depending on your needs, you will find lamps in different sizes in our online store:
- A large lamp is able to brightly and dynamically illuminate your interior, even, like a diffuser, to project light effects on the walls.
